My Story: from Feeling Lost and Alone to Finding my Purpose

For years, I have been on a journey- seeking answers, and ultimately, seeking my truth. I have been soul-searching, researching, reading, learning, and growing – all to try to figure out my mission, my purpose in life. To figure out what I’m meant to do on this planet – how I’m meant to use my gifts to help make this world a better place.

For most of that time, I have felt so alone. I felt like I was the only one feeling this, going through this. I felt like there was something wrong with me. I wondered how everyone else had it all figured out and why I couldn’t seem to.

But the more I searched, the more I realized I was not alone. I realized that so many other people were feeling the same way. That like me, they had started down a path, but it hadn’t taken them where they intended to go, and often times, they had completely lost their way.

I realized that what I most wanted to do was to help other people. To help them be their best, to find their way, to get in alignment with their truest selves, and to help guide them on their journey to align their lives and work to what matters most to them.

My journey led me to trust my gut instinct, take a leap of faith, and leave my corporate job (but not before doing a lot of research and giving it a lot of thought). I went back to school to earn a master’s degree in Coaching Psychology, and I launched my own coaching practice, focusing on career and executive coaching. My goal is to help guide my coachees on their journey from where they currently are to where they dream of being. I want to help them get there more directly, efficiently, and enjoyably than if they tried to tackle it on their own.

I believe that by aligning our work to our values and purpose and by bringing the best of ourselves to our work, we can be happier, more fulfilled, and more successful. When we are doing work that we are meant to be doing, we can’t help but make the world a better place.
